You better embrace the apocalypse when it comes. That is the somewhat macabre but also resigned message of The Cool Greenhouse. The Londoners’ music is quirky, to say the least. It’s understated spoken vocals, propelled by staccato drums and tasty guitar riffs, and larded with biting cynicism. Postpunk at its best.

Heaven Magazine editor Ludo Diels chatted after the session with Tom Greenhouse, frontman and namesake of the band. They talked about humor as a cure for nihilism, democracy in a band and his sources of inspiration.
