We can finally reveal our line-up!
It’s been a bit of a journey, mainly because we got the amazing opportunity to land Tesseract. That did mean we had to shift the festival by one day — so for 2026, Midsummer Prog will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 20 & 21.

We’re looking at Friday for a special pre-festival evening — not an extra festival day, but a great concert evening where we can already raise a glass together and toast to a beautiful Midsummer Prog weekend with you, our beloved prog family.

Geoff Tate (Operation: Mindcrime)
Geoff Tate, original vocalist of Queensrÿche, performs Operation: Mindcrime in its entirety, and more. Released in 1988, the album is widely regarded as a landmark progressive metal concept record, noted for its narrative structure and political themes. This performance presents the material as originally intended.

Einar Solberg
Best known as the frontman of Leprous, Einar Solberg steps into the spotlight with a deeply personal solo set. Blending progressive rock, art-pop and experimental songwriting, his music is emotionally raw, dynamic and intimate. Expect powerful vocals, unexpected turns and moments of quiet intensity that showcase one of modern prog’s most expressive voices. Einar will perform with a full band of excellent musicians.

Quidam
Quidam are an established name in the Polish progressive rock scene, active since the mid-1990s. Their music features symphonic arrangements, melodic development, and a reflective tone, with many classic progressive influences. The band was on a hiatus, but over the years, they kept building an international following. The band features guitarist Maciel Meller, who we also know from Riverside.

Blowbeat
Dutch cult rock band Blowbeat emerged in the early 1980s around guitarist and composer Ton Engels. Their music blends sharp, complex rock with humor, groove and a clear Frank Zappa influence — playful yet precise, experimental yet grounded. Known for their strong musicianship and energetic live shows, Blowbeat combine technical flair with irreverent spirit.

Ok Goodnight
Ok Goodnight is a modern progressive rock/metal band based out of Boston, USA. The group formed when they were all studying at the famous Berklee College of Music. So you can expect great musicianship and great vocals. The band represents a contemporary approach to prog that integrates metal with cinematic arrangement techniques and pop-infused melodies.

Benthos
Benthos are part of Italy’s current progressive metal scene, combining metal frameworks with post-hardcore and atmospheric influences. Their songwriting emphasizes contrast, shifting between dense, rhythm-driven sections and more open, textural passages. The band’s work reflects a modern, genre-crossing approach to progressive music.
