Jo Didderen & L’Equipe de Rêve

Als cadeau voor zijn 50e verjaardag presenteerde Jo Didderen in april 2016 het album Happy Hour. Het speciaal voor deze gelegenheid bij elkaar gezochte Dreamteam (Equipe de Rêve, dus…) is een stevig groovend ‘high energy’ gezelschap, een mix van Oude Rotten (uit o.a. de Mo’Jones Big Band) en Jong Talent (het inmiddels internationaal vermaarde duo Twogether). Het repertoire bestaat uit Jo’s ‘happy instrumentals’: op de groove gerichte jazz, ergens tussen Blue Note-klassiekers en New Cool Collective.
Happy Hour werd gevolgd door En Route! (2019) en Our Point of View (2020). De opnames voor een 4e Equipe-album staan gepland voor november 2022.

As a present for his 50th birthday, Jo Didderen presented the album Happy Hour. The Dreamteam (or Equipe de Rêve) specially assembled for this occasion is a strong grooving high energy group, a mix of old-timers (among others the Mo’Jones Big Band) and young talent (the now internationally renowned duo Twogether). The repertoire consists of Jo’s happy instrumentals: jazz focused on the groove, somewhere between Blue Note classics and New Cool Collective.
Happy Hour was followed by En Route (2019) and Our Point of View (2020). Recordings for a 4th Equipe album are planned in November 2022.
