Upchuck is like a pressure relief valve: music that frees your body and mind of all pent-up anger, injustice and feelings of misunderstanding. In 2018, they could still be found skateboarding on the streets of Atlanta. They have since released two albums -t he second of which was produced by Ty Segall – and are touring almost continuously across the US and Europe.

During their show on the Muziekgieterij Stage, they showed themselves to be loud, ferocious and brutally honest. United with the audience, Upchuck danced and shouted all injustice out of the world.

After the dust clouds of their energetic performance had settled, KT and Mikey spoke to Heaven Magazine’s Ludo Diels. The conversation included Atlanta, their creative home base. KT: “It’s like a Black Mecca, almost like a Black Hollywood.”
