The Slow Readers Club
Jaar: 2025
The Slow Readers Club wasted no time: their Heaven Session was recorded in a single take. The Manchester band released a new album in March: Out Of A Dream. During the session, however, we got a cross-section of their older material.
The Slow Readers Club’s sound is penetrating, atmospheric, and somewhat heavy. The four-piece is often compared to bands like Interpol, The Killers, and The National. In short: indie rock of the highest order.
After the session, frontman Aaron Starkie climbed onto a stool next to Ludo Diels (Heaven Magazine). With a beer in hand, Starkie talked about the atmosphere within the band (and how it has been preserved over the years), tattoos and the secret to a good set list.
