During the festival Zero For Three, on Sept. 5, Teen Creeps’ album was released. Today Is The Day is the title. Whether that joyous moment will still be celebrated, Ludo Diels (Heaven Magazine) asks frontman Bert Vliegen. ‘As civilized thirty-somethings we are having lunch. The bacchanals are far behind us.’

However, their music still echoes the carefreeness of the 1990s, of the band members’ youth. That indie rock from that decade is an inspiration for the band should come as no surprise. Teen Creeps’ session oscillates between melodic ballad-like and almost aggressive indie rock. ‘We started from a certain anger, but now we’re trying to make music in other ways,’ says Vliegen. ‘Exploring melody is a big part of that.’
