Meltheads
Jaar: 2024
It was pleasantly warm outside, but inside the Muziekgieterij studio that September day, the mercury rose to a boiling point. The reason? Meltheads had landed there for a Heaven Session. Later that day, the band played at Bruis, but first the guys had made time in their diaries to record a session. Raw and energetic, the four-piece raced through the studio of the Maastricht pop venue. Meltheads made the place melt.
The Antwerp formation previously caused a furore as a finalist in Studio Brussel’s De Nieuwe Lichting and took second place in Humo’s Rock Rally. Earlier this year, they released their debut album ‘Decent Sex’. And if singer Sietse Willems is to be believed, there is much more in store. After the session, he climbed on the crutch next to Heaven Magazine’s Ludo Diels for a good chat.
‘We are really a live band. We make albums and songs to bring them live.’ The two went on to talk about writing new material, the dark side of life and the upcoming tour.
