Best Kept Secret’s very first Heaven Session. On the Saturday afternoon of BKS 2024, Lézard performed in front of an enthusiastic audience on the sun-drenched stage of Muziekgieterij.

The Ghent-based collective’s music is characterised by powerful drums and tight bass lines, infused with an undercurrent of raging sturm und drang. Although sonically indebted to bands like Devo, LCD Soundsystem, XTC and Telex, Lézard is unmistakably a band of today. Their song ‘Nothing at All’, for instance, is a critical look at modern life, where social media constantly tries to distract our attention.

After the session, lead singer Neil Claes and singer Myrthe Asta spoke to Heaven editor Ludo Diels about Talking Heads and the secret to a good song.
