Lael Neale

Lael Neale played her final show of her European tour that night at BKS. She considers herself a minimalist, and it’s not hard to hear why. On stage, she is subdued and focused alongside her musical companion and producer Guy Blakeslee. Her performance on the Muziekgieterij Stage is as if we witnessed a DIY session in her attic room.She showed us how she goes about her work, how she brings together a multitude of styles and blends them into a sound of her own.

After the session, she plopped down in a seat next to Ludo Diels (Heaven Magazine) to talk about life on the road and the essence of her music.
