Haunt The Woods

During the last edition of Bruis, in the fall of 2024, Haunt the Woods descended on the Muziekgieterij studio. The music of the British foursome is perhaps best characterized as hauntingly melodic. Here and there we hear the influence of Muse, Radiohead and Queen, but Haunt the Woods has a sound that is unmistakably their own. Moreover, the men play all the stops. Sometimes songs remain small and vulnerable, other times they thrust through to the epic.

‘Intense’ is the word Jonathan Stafford (vocals/guitar) himself would choose to describe their music. After the session, he spoke with Ludo Diels (Heaven) about the new album, about “finding” new material and about shadow and light.
