Dylan Leblanc
Jaar: 2024
Music is in Dylan LeBlanc’s DNA. His father was a session musician at the renowned Muscle Shoals Studios, in Louisiana. In that same studio, LeBlanc also recorded “Cautionary Tale,” the record with which he reached the general public. Since the beginning of last year there has been a new album: Coyote. And again we find LeBlanc theme: living with danger. The songs are straight from the American heartland. Heavy, loaded with meaning and sometimes a bit dark. He also took that atmosphere to the studio of Muziekgieterij in Maastricht, where he descended for a Heaven Session.
Speaking with Heaven Magazine’s Ludo Diels after the session, LeBlanc talked about working with Alberta Cross’ Petter Ericson Stakee. And about how good music sometimes comes about under difficult circumstances. “Out of oppression comes good music.”
