CARSICK

Sometimes the best ideas only surface after a few hefty glasses of beer. The same is true for CARSICK. The idea for the band reportedly originated in a small pub late at night. And that’s what we’re hearing. Their music is unpolished and here and there we find a reference to their shared hobby: drinking. CARSICK is hard to pigeonhole. We could call it raw punk, 90’s indie rock or hip-hop with a touch of electro. Or, of course, simply: good music.

After their Heaven Session at Bruis 2024, Ludo Diels (Heaven Magazine) spoke with singer and guitarist Joe about Europe, car sickness, touring and hometown Salisbury. And whether he ever considered a serious career? “Ever since I was 14, all I’ve wanted to do is play music. Watching the first Back to the Future, when he plays ‘Johnny B. Goode’, I would stand in front of the mirror with a hockey stick and go nananana.”
