BLUAI shared the Muziekgieterij stage with Kids With Buns in the evening, but visited our studio that afternoon for a Heaven Session. Things are going well for the Antwerp formation. The threesome performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag earlier this year, won three major music competitions in their own country (including Humo’s Rock Rally) and earlier this month released debut album ‘Save It For Later’. Cherry on the cake: next summer BLUAI will be on the mainstage of Rock Werchter.

But first they visited our studio in Maastricht. There they recorded four songs, partly from their new album. Comparisons are always dangerous in music, but if we do venture into it we hear Big Thief, Pinegrove and a touch of Boy Genius. Americana and indie(folk) on a high level, in other words.
