The Haunted Youth’s Home Away From Home

After a successful experiment during Carnival 2024, the entrepreneurs of Boschstraat have joined forces with Muziekgieterij to move the ‘techno carts’ from the market to Richie Backfire Square. This relieves the pressure on the downtown area tremendously and brings the “carnival ravers” under the name “VasteLove” to the industrial environment of Sphinx Quarter.

Youth support

A total of four organizations are moving to the Richie Backfire Square, two of them on the square and two in Muziekgieterij: in the middle street of the venue and in the foyer. With this, Muziekgieterij wants to support the young people who would like to hear their music during the traditional carnival.

Participating organizations

The organizations include Unsafe, Blurry, Tekno Point 23 and Funky Town, programming everything between house and techno. The collaboration is led by Wouter Bollen, with the Maastricht municipality and Muziekgieterij being partners.
