As an organisation, Muziekgieterij and its production company want to be a vibrant and visible meeting place and playground for musicians, by musicians. Our aim is to strengthen and anchor Muziekgieterij as ‘the place to be’ for pop music in Maastricht and the Euregion. In this way, we try to have a positive impact on all our visitors, creators and artists.
Community
We strive to make and keep Muziekgieterij appealing to musicians, music lovers, students, young people, teachers and educational institutions. Ongoing concepts are devised by our team to promote and expand our community, develop talent and engage in education.
Collaborations
With the Talent Support programmes, we focus on long-term collaborations with professional artists and aim to enter into deals with these partners. This is about talent development in the broadest sense of the word. With the product being a release of one or more albums through our label (M-PX) or a label from our network. Several of these releases take place every year, in an equal construction with artist, Muziekgieterij and the label.
- Playground
The place where creativity and music come together! Our Playground consists of modern and well-equipped rehearsal rooms, specially designed for musicians and artists looking for a professional environment to further develop their music.
With six fully-equipped rehearsal spaces, easily rented through our online platform here, we provide space for bands, solo artists and other creative projects alike. Whether you’re a beginning band or an established act, you’ll find the ideal place to rehearse with us.
In addition to our rehearsal spaces, the Playground is also home to a variety of music programs and events. From inspiring workshops to intimate performances – this is where it all happens! - Talent support
Muziekgieterij’s production company stands in its strength as a talent developer with the Playground as its venue. We make the difference with our extensively available facilities, supported by the expertise of its staff and the associated community. From here, we support talent from their first step up to the moment they can spread their wings.
Talent In Residence
A unique one-year coaching programme by Muziekgieterij. We help you create, produce and record your music. In addition to music coaching, we pay attention to branding and marketing to better market you as an artist. Each trajectory is tailor-made, tailored to your specific needs and goals, giving you the tools and knowledge you need to take the next step in your career.
Artists In Residence
Our programme is specially designed to help (semi-)professional bands and musicians from the Euregion and take their careers to new heights. Under the guidance of our experienced team of music professionals, you will gain access to our expertise and an extensive network within the music industry.
Releases
We enter into partnerships with labels, bookers and artists, with the aim of developing talent and preferably subsequently releasing an album through a label. This has led to our joint venture with record label V2 Records, in which we partner with the artist in the production of an album.

- Studio
Studio
The Muziekgieterij music studio is located in the heart of Maastricht and the Euregion. The studio is broadly equipped for recording various styles of music, mixage, editing and post-production.
Here, only the best equipment is used and productions are mixed analogue over the Raindirk Symphony LN-3 mixing console. A fully digital approach is also possible. The studio is built around Avid’s ProTools system with high-quality digital hardware and preamps. Click the link below to view the whole list.
- Label
The label M-PX was created to release recordings by Muziekgieterij’s artists in residence. New talent can thus profile themselves through music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Apple and Youtube. This helps them in their search for new professional partners in the music industry, such as a booking agency, management or record label.
Artists in residence
Artists in residence already working professionally can have the result of the project they worked on at Muziekgieterij released on the M-PX label. This may also possibly be done as a one-off release, alongside their already existing record contract with another company.
Musical heritage
The M-PX label also accommodates the Euregio’s rich musical past. Such as recently with a number of remastered reissues of bands belonging to the ‘M-Town rebels’. This was a globally renowned movement in the 1990s, led by the hardcore punk scene from Maastricht.
- Educational
The lights are pointed at you, your parents are in the hall, and the drummer taps out. You take off, and the pop tune you composed blows out of the Muziekgieterij speakers. Ten weeks ago, you never touched an instrument – and now you’re a rock star.
Pop music is for everyone, and anyone can make pop music. With this in mind, Muziekgieterij offers a programme for groups 7 and 8 of primary schools. Here, all children, regardless of their experience, get the chance to play in a pop band and write music. The pupils are challenged to write and learn to play their own pop song(s) in ten weeks. In this process, they are guided by qualified and experienced coaches. The schools conclude the project with a pop concert for family and friends in Muziekgieterij.
