  • Start times

    Visit the program page on our website to find out when the show and any opening acts begin, as well as when the doors open.

    Please note: the start time may be different from what’s written on your ticket. The artist may still choose to change things even if everything is planned on our program page.

  • Accessibility

    Seating is not available in our concert halls. Both halls are accessible for wheelchair users, but there is no designated area for people in wheelchairs. If you arrive as a wheelchair user and there are already many people present, spots in front of the stage or on the balcony are difficult to reach. It is therefore wise to arrive on time. There are also wheelchair accessible toilets. These are difficult to reach when it is crowded. We would also like to stress that the lift will become inoperative in case of fire, making it more difficult to evacuate people from the balcony.

    Wheelchair entrance

    Walk north on Boschstraat from the Sphinx parking site. When you reach the intersection with the traffic lights, turn right. Immediately after the white building, turn right again towards the back of the building (navigate to Richie Backfireplein 10, via Fransensingel). Here you’ll find the entrance to Muziekgieterij. You can reach it via the wheelchair ramp. If you have any questions, please contact us.

    • Where can I park?

      Around and near the Sphinx Quarter are several parking spaces, the closest being parking Sphinxterrein. Further on, there is also the possibility to park under Mosae Forum shopping center or at the Bassin.

    • Are there seats during a concert?

      No — unless otherwise explicitly stated on our website for the concert in question, there are no assigned seats in the venue.

      Are you unable to stand during a concert due to medical reasons or because you have difficulty walking? If so, please request a crutch no later than three days before the concert using the request form on our website. We cannot process requests received after that deadline.

      The number of stools per concert is limited—for safety reasons and because we need to keep space clear in the hall. A stool is intended for the person who needs that support themselves, not for comfort, fatigue, or for a companion who is able to walk unaided. Each request is reviewed; you will receive a confirmation email and a notification as soon as your request has been approved or denied.

      Not permitted in the auditorium: walkers, mobility scooters, and personal stools.
      Permitted: crutches.

    • Is the venue accessible for people with disabilities and wheelchair users?

      There is no seating available in our concert rooms. Both rooms are accessible for wheelchair users but placements cannot be taken into account. So if you arrive as a wheelchair user and there are already (many) other visitors present, there is no possibility to reach certain places with the wheelchair (think in front of/near the stage). In addition, we would like to stress that the lift will become inoperative in case of fire evacuation, making it more difficult to evacuate wheelchair users from the balcony.

      Wheelchair toilets are available. Again, however, these are difficult to reach from a crowded room when it is packed. Mobility scooters are not allowed in the halls due to their motorised nature. In case of evacuation, it is not possible to evacuate mobility scooters quickly.

    • Is hearing protection available at the site?

      We sell Alpine hearing protection for €6.50 per set; they are available in our lobby.

  • Plan your trip

    Muziekgieterij is located at Boschstraat 5, 6211 AS in Maastricht. The entrance is at the back of the building, the address is Richie Backfireplein 10, 6211 AE Maastricht. Also looking for a place to spend the night?

  • I will come by car

    Plan your route with this smart map so you don’t get stuck in traffic. You can also see here where Maastricht’s zero emission zone starts, which is quite handy.

    Parking

    Visitors to muziekgieterij can get a discount at Q-Park Bassin and Q-Park Frontenpark. Reserve your parking spot in advance to guarantee a space, enjoy easy entry and exit, and skip the wait at the payment machine. You can reserve a discounted parking spot on this page.

    There are plenty of parking spots in and around the Sphinx Quarter, the closest being the Sphinxterrein parking lot. Further along, there is also the option to park under the Mosae Forum shopping center or at the Bassin.

  • I travel by bike

    There is a bike shed next to muziekgieterij so that you can park your bike there. It’s located at the side of our building. That way, you park for free and also contribute to the environment.

  • I travel by public transport

    muziekgieterij is also accessible by public transport. The closest bus stop is on Boschstraat, at Bus Stop Boschstraat/Maagdendries. From here, you can walk into muziekgieterij within 5 minutes.

  • Lockers

    We have lockers where you can keep your things safe. Reserve a locker via this page.

    As there is no room for big bags and other luggage, please come to Muziekgieterij with as little as possible. Regulations for safety say that bags bigger than A4 size cannot enter the venue. Do you need your bag for (e.g.) medical reasons? No problem. Talk to one of our colleagues so that we are informed.

    The dimensions of the lockers are:

    • M = 224 x 300 x 400 (h x w x d) in mm
    • L = 450 x 300 x 400 (h x w x d) in mm (this fits a vinyl record, tip!)

    Book a locker

    There are two ways to reserve a locker:

    1. Use this page to reserve your locker before you come.

      Open locker
      After the payment is made, Keynius will send you an email at the address you gave them. There are two big buttons in the email: ‘Open locker’ and ‘Open and release locker.’ These will let you use your locker while you’re at Muziekgieterij.

    2. Scan the QR code when you get to Muziekgieterij to reserve your locker.
      Use your smartphone to scan the QR code in the queue and open the reservation page. Make sure the email address you enter is correct, as you will receive an email that allows you to use your locker. Check your details and proceed to payment. After this, you’ll have successfully rented the locker and be able to use it.

      Open and release locker
      Have you finished using your locker? Then choose ‘Open and release locker’. Your locker will open and be ready for the next person to use. Thereafter, you can no longer use the locker.

    General terms and conditions for visitors – muziekgieterij

    By using the locker, you declare that you agree to the following terms and conditions:

    1. Personal responsibility
      You are responsible at all times for the items you store in the locker. muziekgieterij is not liable for theft, loss, or damage to stored items, unless there is evidence of intent or deliberate recklessness.
    2. Right to inspect
      muziekgieterij reserves the right to refuse items or to open and inspect the locker. This also applies to items placed in closed bags, suitcases, or other forms of luggage.
    3. Right to refuse or destroy
      muziekgieterij has the right to refuse or destroy items. By using the locker, you waive any claim for compensation in this regard.
    4. Maximum value of stored items
      Do not store items in the locker with a value exceeding €200.00. muziekgieterij is not liable for damage or loss exceeding this amount.
    5. Collecting items
      Items must be collected during the stated opening hours, immediately after the event, or at the end of the locker rental period.
    6. Return based on identification
      Items will be returned to the person who can identify themselves in combination with the email address linked to the locker.
    7. Exceeding the storage period
      If items are not collected within the agreed period, we reserve the right to store the items at a higher rate. The additional costs are for the account of the user or the person claiming the items.
    8. Destruction after three months
      All items not collected after three months will be destroyed.
    9. No cooling-off period applicable
      When renting a locker for a specific period, no cooling-off period applies, similar to other rental agreements such as a holiday home, hotel room, or rental car. For more information, see: ConsuWijzer – When do I have a cooling-off period?.
