About Monza

Tuinconcert

Op vrijdag 19 juni komt Monza naar Maastricht om het jubileum van hun iconische debuutplaat 'Van God Los' te vieren met een exclusief tuinconcert. Monza treedt op met de oorspronkelijke line up, een verzameling gerenommeerde muzikanten waaronder Stijn Meuris(Noordkaap), Mario Goossens (Triggerfinger, Sloper maar ook ex-Hooverphonic), Piet De Pessemier (LeNoise), David Poltrock (De Mens, ex-Hooverphonic). Bassist Bart Zegers is inmiddels overleden en Tom Coghe van Goose neemt nu de baspartijeren voor zich.

In 2026 is het vijfentwintig jaar geleden dat Monza een eerste CD uitbracht. ‘Van God Los’ was de titel, net zoals de allereerste single van zowel groep als debuut-album. Op die plaat stonden vier singles: Van God Los’ zelf, ‘De Stad Kan Zo Koud Zijn’, ’Naïviteit’ en ‘De Ogen Van Jenny’, die stuk voor stuk ruim airplay haalden. In 2026 brengt de band een heruitgave van dit iconische album voor het eerst uit op vinyl, en uiteraard zal de muziek nu ook op de streaming platformen te beluisteren zijn.

Als support komt Camilo Donoso mee.
