Conservative Military Image was oorspronkelijk een hardcore skinheadband uit Chicago, inmiddels bestaat de uit Boston afkomstige band uit leden van Street Power en Haywire. CMI maakt opzwepende songs met hun aanstekelijke mix van Oi!, hardcore, metal en (straat)punk. Zanger Adam Voss noemt een verscheidenheid aan invloeden voor CMI waaronder Rose Tattoo, Sepultura, Bon Scott era AC/DC, Crowbar, The Devils Blood, The Smiths, Wooden Wand, The Hives, KISS, The Chisel en Yellow Stitches.

CMI speelde in 2024 op indrukwekkende wijze festivals plat zoals Jera on Air (NL), Ieper fest (B) en Vainstream (D).
De komende EU tour doet men legendarische clubs aan zoals SO36 (Berlijn) en Underworld (London).
